On Saturday afternoon, April 22, 2017, the Teague Police Department responded to a report of a reckless driver on FM 1365, headed towards town.
The vehicle was located in the middle of the roadway by Officer Markeisha Cox. After requesting backup from Sergeant Marcus Mason, an investigation into the incident resulted in the Department’s K-9 team, Officer Jason Morgan, and K-9 Zelda, being called to the scene.
K-9 Zelda alerted on the driver’s purse, where officers discovered 12 Xanax pills (2 Grams), 13 grams of Methamphetamine, approximately 310 Ecstasy pills (MDMA, a total of 77 grams), 31 Oxycodone pills (17 grams), a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and a seizure of $302.00 cash. The Department is also considering seizing the vehicle used in this offense.
Officers arrested Lindsay Rae Marino, a 36 year old white female, who was booked in to the Freestone County Jail for arraignment.
Marino is charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 4 grams or more, but less than 200 grams (First Degree Felony) and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 3 & 4, 28 Grams or more, but less than 200 Grams (Second Degree Felony). Additional charges are pending the return of lab results.
