Gerald Taft Henderson and Keith Obrian Jones were arrested on Friday, March 17, 2017 following a 3-month investigation involving burglaries of three churches, two in Wortham and one in Streetman.
Henderson, 40, is charged with burglary of a building and possession of a controlled substance at $10,000 bond for each offense.
Henderson is also being held for burglary of a habitation in Limestone County with a $5,000 bond and criminal nonsupport in McLennon County with a $1,000 bond.
Jones, 29, is charged with burglary of a building with a $10,000 bond.
Approximately $1,000 in stolen property was recovered.
Arrests were conducted by the Wortham Police Department, along with Deputies with the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office.
