Dear Editor,
Allegations as to the authenticity of the Letter written by Mr. Aubrey Childs is simply a diversionary attempt to draw our friends, neighbors and members attention away from the main issue: Sale of Home Post 5872.
Post 5872 has stood over 44 years at its present location. Prior to our current Leadership, our Post was rated No. #1 in State. Now, we are not even rated.
Our Leadership ignored advice given by some of our most respected businessmen. Unfortunately, our Leadership refused to change. They kept changing the Bingo nights! People started going elsewhere because they knew it would be open.
Our Leadership applied the same to our Canteen which also started losing money because our veterans and faithful customers never knew if the Canteen would be open or closed.
I did not receive a Letter of Impending Sale of our Post nor did I receive a Letter notifying All Members of the Auctioning off of Inside Properties of Post 5872. Where are all the records that are supposed to remain on site?
Mr. Aubrey Childs hit the nail on the head!
