A CHRISTMAS TREE MADE OF Texas License Plates was made and donated to the Freestone County Tax Office by Tommy Miller of Fairfield.
Accepting the gift is Tax Assessor Collector, Lisa Foree.
The 8-foot tall tree is adorned with an old trailer tail light as its crowning star; and old school multi-colored lights and silver garland.
Using pop rivets and plywood, Miller spent about four hours assembling this Christmas tree.
“Most people dream of retirement, I’m living that dream,” says Miller, who retired in 2010 from Luminant. “I enjoy doing the license plate art as a hobby. It keeps an old man busy.”
Some of his other pieces can be seen at the Tax Office as well.
There is a State of Texas, Cowboy Boot, and other items on display.
