Legacy Reserves cuts ribbon, marking first year of business in Freestone County…
It was a merging of cultures, says Production Manager David Hinson (holding scissors), when Legacy Reserves took over natural gas wells last year from two local oil & gas companies (Anadarko and Marathon Oil). A portion of the 75-strong office took a moment to celebrate a Ribbon Cutting with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Simme Douglas and Kevin Smith hold the ribbon and Medra Patterson displays their Chamber plaque as Cindy Wood looks on. They were joined by Chamber Director Brenda Pate, Chamber Admin. Assistant Lisa Schick and Chamber Chair Josh Bayless. According to Hinson, the local Legacy office, situated just south of Dew on Highway 75, serves 8 counties, including Freestone, Anderson, Leon and Limestone. The new East Texas region has become a core operating district for Legacy Reserves, whose main headquarters is located in Midland, Texas. Welcome to the Chamber, and the neighborhood.
