Freestone County Commissioners met on August 6, 2025, for a regularly scheduled meeting which did not include a budget workshop.
During this meeting, they approved the following items:

–Minutes from July 30 Mtg

–Budget Transfers & Amendments

–Pay Bills

–Reports from Extension Agent, County Clerk, Senior Services, and Teague Fire Department

–Special Road Use Agreements

–Bonds & Education Certificates

–Renewal of Xerox Service Agreement for County Clerk’s Office

–New debit card for General Fund with new County Auditor’s Name

–Renewal of Imposition of Optional Fees for Calendar Year 2026 for Texas Department of Motor Vehicles with no Changes

Commissioners hold their regular monthly meetings on the First & Third Wednesday beginning at 9:00 p.m. in their 2nd Floor Courtroom.

However, due to budget workshops and other items, their scheduled meetings for the remainder of the month include Aug. 13th (special) to hold budget review, and August 20th (special) to hold a public hearing on the proposed budget and proposed tax rate and to consider a proposed increase in salaries and longevity pay for certain employees and officials.
