Fairfield Coach Dalton Tharp and Teague Coach Tre’ Craig will join the roster for this year’s Victory Bowl in May.
The Heart of Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes held a press conference on Sunday, January 5th in Waco to announce this year’s coaching staff for the 17th annual FCA Victory Bowl Football Game and cheer squads, the 12th annual Volleyball Game, and the 10th annual Baseball and Softball Games and 4rd annual Girls and Boys Basketball Games.
They include:
RED TEAM
Football – Danny Servance of Ellison
Volleyball – Taryn Usher of Axtell and Shirelle Givens of Ellison
Baseball – Chris Peacock of Lake Belton, Easton Brown of Hillsboro, and Liam Fach of Temple
Softball – Kirk Allen of Crawford, Andrea Holbrook of Gatesville, Don Johnson of Riesel, and Raven Sullins of Abbott
Basketball – Marty Garcia of Moody, Phil McCaslin of Belton, Brent Elmore of Crawford, and Tre’ Sanchez of Hillsboro
BLUE TEAM
Football – Joe Gillespie of Midway
Volleyball – Kerstyn Woodard of Bosqueville and Mandi Roberts of Robinson
Baseball – Nash Fares of Rogers, David Anderson of Bosqueville, and Dalton Tharp of Fairfield
Softball – Jolene Volek of Granger, Karen Ramirez of University, Tre’ Craig of Teague and Jayson Engel of Kerens

The past sixteen Victory Bowls have proved to be very successful as participants were selected from 100 high schools over 12 counties in Central Texas. Over 5,000 attended all 6 games.
Members of each team are nominated by their high school coaches in November and December. The final rosters are then selected by the coaching staff. The dates for this year’s games are listed below:

May 30st – 10th Annual Victory Bowl Baseball Game (UMHB)
– 10th Annual Victory Bowl Softball Game (UMHB)
May 31st – 12th Annual Super Centex Victory Bowl Volleyball Game (University High School)
– 17th Annual Super Centex Victory Bowl Football Game (Waco ISD Stadium)
