The Fairfield Lady Eagles took a couple of victories and remain in solid playoff condition with a chance to claim the district title.
Fairfield defeated Palestine at home 17-9 pulling away late in the game. Savannah Ellis broke a 9-9 tie with a bases clearing triple in the bottom of the sixth inning. It was her second triple of the game, the first coming in the first inning.
Also in the big sixth inning, Bailey Jones hit a home run.
Fairfield followed up the big scoring game with a 16-8 win over Madisonville. Harli Hunt doubled home a run in the first inning. Camii Wilson, Kayla Grecu, Rebeca Dunlap and Ellis finished with big games for the Lady Eagles.
