On June 23-30, 2017, a team from Fairfield, and one from Abilene, went to a school named Respire (breathe) Haiti in Gressier.

The mission work was to introduce the children of Respire to the game of volleyball. The reaction they had to the game was priceless; and they will be starting a volleyball league on Tuesdays after school.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Freestone, and other surrounding counties for helping our team financially get to Haiti.

This kind of citizenship and community is hard to find. We are very grateful to everyone who sponsored, donated, or shared our story.

A big ‘Thank You’ to Hometown Pharmacy, Brookshire Brothers, Buzz Russell from KNES 99.1, and anyone that bought from our lemonade and bake sales.

The children of Haiti will always be on our heart, and we are blessed to have been able to go and serve God through mission work.

We will continue to go to Respire Haiti, and help as much as we can.

There is always work to be done, and children to feed.

For more information on the children of Respire, please visit www.respirehaiti.org. Donations can be made online.

Thank you from bottom of our hearts,

Jerry, Melinda, & Meaghan Peterson; Alyssa & Amanda Williams; and Madison & Lindsey Owens
