GunLadyTraining, owned and operated by Allison Bonner, enjoyed her ribbon cutting held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Allison was born and raised in Fairfield, Texas.

James “Jimmy” Bonner and Mary “Ma” Bonner are her parents, and Jamie Hitchcock is her sister.

After Allison received her certification as a USCCA, U.S. Concealed Carry Association, instructor.

She is also certified in Conceal Carry and Home Defense, Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals, and Countering the mass Shooter.

Additionally she is a LTC instructor, and plans to be teaching her first class in May of 2020.

Most classes are women only with a few classes being gender mixed.

She is the Facilitator for the Freestone County TX chapter of A Girl and A Gun who will be having a Meet n Greet at 4:00 p.m. April 18, 2020.

“This chapter helps women to feel empowered by working through learning firearms in different ways and in an environment that is safe and just with women,” explains Allison.

Training for shooters that are beginning to advanced will be offered, although right now they are more focused on the beginning and intermediate shooters.

The future plans include bringing in instructors from different backgrounds of training.

They are currently looking for a shooting range that is closer to Fairfield, they are currently using the Leon County Gun Club for live shooting.

GunLadyTraining works on having a very strong foundation of knowledge with firearms and being around firearms very safely.

–First, the mindset that comes with being your own protector.

–Second, the foundation of handling a firearm.

–Third and final, getting the training that is required to be your own protector.

They do not feel that getting your conceal carry license should be taken lightly and should not be done without a plan for gaining more training in order to use your firearm if a stressful situation ever arises.

Classes will be held throughout the year with Women’s Handgun and Self Defense, and Conceal Carry and Home Defense being the main class of teaching.
