On June 1st, deputies made a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Reunion Street in Fairfield, leading to the arrest of three subjects being arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Taken to Freestone County Jail were Darius Deshane Lewis (24 yr), Akil Jackson (25 yr), and Angel Bain (25 yr).

While at the jail, the female suspect was found to have a meth pipe and two more plastic baggies of methamphetamine on her person.

Lewis was charged with (1) Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence – $10,000 and (2) Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, less than 1 gram – $5,000.

Jackson’s charges include (1) Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, less than 1 gram – $7,500; (2) Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence – $15,000; and (3) Criminal Mischief – $2,000.

Bain was charged with (1) Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence – $10,000 and (2) Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams – $10,000.

All three are still in jail as of press time.
