The accolades continue to pour in for the Lady Lion basketball program.

This year’s team made an historic run and different players have been recognized for the achievements on the court and in the classroom

The Lady Lions coach, Chris Nickleberry, has racked up a few awards along the way as well including 18-3A Coach of the Year an award he shared with Buffalo’s Jozette Jenkins, Super Cen-Tex Coach of the Year and now TABC’s Dean Weese Outstanding Coach of the Year Award.

TABC selects one coach from each region from each classification and then decides one for each classification.

“I’m grateful and humbled by this honor there are a lot of great coaches in the state of Texas especially on the 3A level. I want thank God, my players, and Lion Nation that’s what keeps me going as a coach,” said Coach Nickleberry.
