Two very special Christmas programs will be held this coming Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church that will kick off the holiday season with music and entertainment for all ages.

Calvary’s fifteen member hand bell group will be performing three Christmas songs during the morning worship service which begins at 10:45 am. Under the direction of youth minister Devin DiGuilio, the group will perform the songs ‘Good Christian Friends Rejoice’, ‘Little Drummer Boy’, and ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.’

Calvary’s children’s choir will be presenting a musical program titled “Christmas At Bethlehem Gultch” on Sunday night at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. The group consists of 35 children ranging in ages from kindergarten through sixth grade.

“There will be children singing and acting along with music in this program that will have everyone laughing,” music and education minister Shelby Race said. “In my 33 years at Calvary, this may be the most fun and memorable children’s program we’ve ever presented.”

Songs in the musical include ‘Christmas Out Under The Stars’, ‘A Story of Shepherds’, ‘Bethlehem Shepherds’, ‘Baa Baa Better Believe’, ‘This Is The Day Of Our Savior’s Birth’, ‘Gentle Shepherd’, and ‘We Just Met The King’.

“We are excited to present these programs for our congregation and the community,” Brother Shelby stated. “Join us this Sunday for a special day of music as we celebrate the Christmas message in song.’

Calvary is located at 220 E. Main in Fairfield.
