Roy was born July 12, 1960 in Fairfield to parents Roy Casey, Jr. and Doris Black Casey.

He was a 1978 graduate of Fairfield High School.

Roy was employed at Nucor Steel from 1978 to 1984.  From 1984 until 2015 he was a part of the family business at Casey Propane.

For all of his life he was a cattle rancher and knew his cattle and his Bible.  He was a member and served as a Deacon at Round Prairie Baptist Church.

Roy loved to coach his daughter’s basketball and softball teams.  He never missed a game they played.

He enjoyed visiting friends from one end of town to another.  Everyone knew him and felt like family.

He had a fashion sense that could only be described as “Roy”.  It included Hawaiian shirts unbuttoned with swim trunks and boots in the summer; sweat pants with flannel shirts in the winter.

Roy was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, Roy Casey, Sr. and Modena and Hiram and Eunice Black.

If Roy could be remembered as anything it would be a man of God who loved his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Megan Lane and grandchildren Kennedy and Owen of Fairfield; Amy Nold and husband Brian and grandson Caleb of Midlothian, TX; his parents, Roy Jr. and Doris Casey of Fairfield; a sister, Kathy Best and husband Richard Best of Fairfield; a nephew, Casey Best of San Antonio and a niece, Brittany Bird and husband Adam and their son Braden of Aurora, CO.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
