The State Health Department has reported a confirmed case of rabies in the western part of Freestone County on County Rd. 930. The animal was a stray kitten.
Please exercise caution should you encounter a strange animal.
If an animal is exhibiting signs that it might be rabid, please contact to the Freestone County Sheriff’s Department at 903-389-3236.
The Sheriff’s office will, in turn, notify a Game Warden.
