It was a packed house Tuesday night at Fairfield High School Auditorium as family and friends came out to support their favorite contestant in the Miss Freestone County Scholarship Pageant 2017.

The stage was set with a Hollywood theme; lights, camera, action!

Four lovely young women competed for the title of Miss Freestone County 2017: (Above, left to right) Jaid Bonner, Peyton Daniel, Jera Keithley, and Shalee Watson.

In the Teen division, five young ladies vied for the top spot: (Above, left-right) Morgan Coleman, Eden Daniel, Makensy Isaacs, Kennedee Stroade, and Jenna Swinburn.

Miss Texas 2016, Caroline Carothers, served as emcee for the pageant.

Contestants introduced themselves and presented their platform while showing off their best Hollywood wear during the first phase of competition following an opening dance routine (Below).

During wardrobe change, the audience was treated to entertainment by Miss Texas; Miss Freestone County 2016, Chloe Sifford; and The Edge Dance Company.

Next was an optional talent portion that was its own competition, not counting toward the final score. Some of the acts included a poem, singing, dancing, karate, piano playing, and tumbling.

After more entertainment, the pageant continued with formal wear and contestant questions. Here, the contestants dazzled the crowd with smiles, sequins, and chiffon.

Finally, the judges were ready to announce their choice of winners.
