Lindale “Foots” Granberry of Fairfield, Texas passed away on Friday morning, October 20, 2017 at Medical City in Dallas at the age of 61. He was born in Fairfield, Texas on July 27, 1956 to Glen Haydon Granberry and Maxine Armstrong Granberry. He married his wife Jennifer on July 30, 1976 in Fairfield and shortly thereafter began working at the Big Brown Mine. He worked there for 37 years as a fuel mechanic and retired officially on March 31, 2015 after 37 years. Lindale enjoyed anything that involved being outside. When he was not at work you could find him on a tractor and every now and then hunting.

Lindale is preceded in death by his son Christopher Dale Granberry, father Glen Haydon Granberry and a sister Glena Granberry. He is survived by his wife Jennifer Granberry of Fairfield and his mother Maxine Dommert of Fairfield. Children; Linda Guinn and husband Johnathon of Jacksonville, Brian Granberry of Fairfield and Tami Granberry of Fairfield. Grandchildren; Clayton, Colton, Kelly and Cody. Brother Ricky Granberry and wife Donja of Fairfield and Sister Gaynell Hawthorne of Troup. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation with his family was Sunday afternoon, October 22, 2017 at Griffin – Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield from 4 – 6pm. A celebration of his life was held Monday morning, October 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Round Prairie Baptist Church with Bro Ed Ridge officiating. Special music was provided by Steve and Teresa Black as vocalist and Bud Black as pianist.   Burial followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery with Clayton Granberry, Colton Granberry, Sam Sherber Jr., Charles Bradley, Johnathon Guinn and Scott Leatherman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Boomer Bonner, Andy Boner, Stanley Gregory and Cody Granberry.
