‘A Heartfelt Christmas’ is the theme for this year’s Christmas Parade, which will meander around the courthouse square in downtown Fairfield, Texas the first Saturday of December.

Everyone is cordially invited to participate in the annual Fairfield Christmas Parade, presented by Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Applications are available at the Chamber office at 900 West Commerce Street.  You can also give them a call at 903-389-5792 or contact via email to chamber@fairfieldtx.com

Completed applications are due by 12:00 noon on Friday, December 6th.

Here are the general rules and requirements:

–The Chamber of Commerce will host the Santa Claus for the parade; please do not have any additional live Santa’s on your float.

–Cash Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.

–Line up will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th at Fairfield Elementary School.  Please do not park any personal vehicles in the lot.  Line up placement is determined by your application, so please be as accurate as possible on the number of units, or feet needed for your placement.  Parade will start promptly at 4:00 p.m.

–Entries must remain in position assigned, unless approved by a parade official.

–A licensed driver must operate autos and large vehicles.  Small vehicles (mini-bikes, small tractors, etc.) must be operated by a person 12 years or older.

–All bands and marching units shall be appropriately dressed and accompanied by an adult leader.

–An adult responsible for following all parade rules shall accompany youth organizations or groups.

–No horses will be allowed for the 2019 parade (due to safety issues).

–NO sirens or horns will be allowed to sound due to nativity animals in the parade.
