Mrs. Bernice Huls, 81, of Fairfield passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Providence Hospice Place in Waco, Texas. She was born on April 29, 1935 in Soper, Oklahoma to John Henry Carley and Oregon Elizabeth Smith Carley.
She was a registered nurse, and worked for many years in the healthcare industry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Wayne Huls; parents, John Henry and Oregon Elizabeth Carley; sister, Georgia E. Cheatwood; brothers, John Harvey Carley, Jerry Owen Carley, and Harold Wayne Carley.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Taylor and husband Edward of Fairfield; grandsons, Jason Jackson of Fairfield, Jeremy Jackson and wife Kerry of Tyler and Matthew Jackson of Fairfield; brother, Aaron Cleaborn Carley of Paris, TX; sisters, Martha Joe Williams of Houston, Margarette Ovetta Hitchcock of Pantego, Mary Elizabeth Hitchcock of Springfield, MO, and Johnnie Lynn Landes of Sibley, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Resthaven Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Mark Luera officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
