Glenn McGinn, 68, of Fairfield, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 in Tyler.  Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ken Pruitt officiating.  Interment followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Josh Simmons, Clayton Wells, Michael Dunn, Darryl Briggs, Joey Jaggears and Billy Clarkson.

Glenn was born December 8, 1948 in Morenci, Arizona to parents David and Lettie Hudman McGinn.  He had been a resident of Fairfield since 1977 moving from Caddo Mills, Texas.  On March 1, 2017 Glenn and his wife Betty celebrated 31 years of marriage.  For a number of years Glenn drove a truck for Lance Inc.  He retired four years ago, from Headwaters Resources in Jewett where he worked as a safety coordinator and lab tech.  Glenn was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairfield.  In addition to his parents Glenn was preceded in death by a brother Ed McGinn in 2007 and a daughter, Tish Hatton on May 12, 2016.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Betty; two children, Holly McGinn of Fairfield; Erica Barnes of Weatherford, TX; five grandchildren, Amelia Wells, Josh Simmons, Haylie Barnes, Zachary Barnes and Brianna Hatton; one great-grandchild, J. J. Simmons; three sisters and a brother, Pat Walters of Carson City, NV; Gene Sutton and wife Lorene of Palestine, TX; Charlotte Briggs and husband Wayne of Smithville, TX; Laverne Moore and husband Doug of Fairfield.
