ICE Arrests Man in Fairfield
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers apprehended 30-year-old Victor Oscar Rivera-Rodriguez of Mexico in Fairfield on Friday, March 24th on immigration violations.

This was a targeted ICE operation looking for a specific individual following investigative leads. No one was injured during this incident.
An ICE media relations officer states that Rivera-Rodriguez will remain in ICE custody pending his immigration removal proceedings.

 

FCSO Assist US Marshals
On Saturday, March 25th, Freestone County Sheriff’s Office Investigator, Lieutenant Clay Aldrich assisted US Marshals in the apprehension of a subject wanted on three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child out of Titus County.

Information was received that the male subject could possibly be located in Freestone County.

Upon investigation in multiple areas, the person in question was observed at a location on FCR 610 while FCSO and US Marshals were conducting surveillance.

Once the suspect’s identification was confirmed, assisting units were called in to help apprehend the man.

When FCSO Deputy Wright and Game Warden Anderson arrived on scene, an approach was made on the residence and the subject was apprehended without incident.

The subject was then transported to the Freestone County Jail and booked in.

Sheriff Jeremy Shipley states, “Freestone County will not be a safe harbor for wanted subjects regarding criminal charges. FCSO is proud to have assisted the US Marshals and Titus County in the continual pursuit of seeing that justice is served.”
