Conclusion of second Capital Murder trial stemming from tragic events near Teague in March of 2015. Third defendant accepts plea offer from the State and sentenced to 40 year prison term. Once again my thanks to all court officials, jurors, law enforcement personnel, public spectators and family members for their courteous, patient and professional demeanors during the trials. This event has shattered the lives of so many people, and I fear the damage may never be undone. The time for healing is at hand. It’s tough to forgive, but no one can receive forgiveness for their transgressions unless they themselves can forgive those who transgress. We pray for all involved.
