Larry Kent Bonner, Jr. of Teague, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for his involvement in the shooting death of Jack Lopez of Wortham during an aggravated robbery that took place in College Station on August 28, 2016.

Bonner was originally charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and one count of murder for this incident.

On March 10, 2017, he took a plea bargain in the 272nd District Court of Honorable Travis Bryan of Brazos County.

With his guilty plea in the murder case, Bonner was given 40 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison system, with no right to appeal.

Bonner’s attorney was William F. Carter, and attorney for the State was Brian Price.

Two others involved in this case, Dalton Colaluca and Jacolby Foreman, were each charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and are awaiting trial by jury set for October 24, 2017.
