Dorothy Howell, of Streetman, passed away at home on Monday afternoon, June 26, 2017 at the age of 79.

She was born May 26, 1938 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Louise and Clyde Bounds.

Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Streetman.

She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Clyde Bounds; brother, Eldron Suggs and sister, Viola Thurman.

She is survived by her husband, Hulen Howell; children, Charles Sikes and wife Tonia, Thomas Sikes, Carlton Howell and Doris Van Dyke; grandchildren, Christina and Shane Wright, Spring and Bobby Powell, Bradley Van Dyke, Jason Van Dyke, Charles “Bubba” Sikes, Jr. and Josh and Melissa Sikes; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, JT Bounds, Herman Brewer, Henry Suggs and Eldrige Suggs; nephews, John David Grubbs and Bill Grubbs.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 29th from 6-8 pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Service will be 10:00 am Friday, June 30th at First Baptist Church of Streetman with Bro. Ed Ridge officiating.

Burial will follow at Birdston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane Wright, Cobey Powell, Bobby Powell, Jason Van Dyke, Josh Sikes, and Bradley Van Dyke.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Grubbs, John Grubbs.
