Christmas has gotten just a little bit bigger in the small town of Teague, Texas.
The Christmas In The Park committee, along with several elves in the community, have been working hard to get everything ready. This year, thirty-two trees will be lit for the occasion.
–December 2nd
Lights will turn on beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd. There will be hot chocolate & cookies for the kids and Christmas ornaments will be available to paint.
Santa Claus will arrive at 6:30 p.m. and stay for visits with the children until 9:00 p.m. He will be joined by a special guest, The Grinch.
Other activities include signing by the Sound Church Kids Choir and voting for the Best Tree. Applications will be available for Toys For Tots.
–December 16th
Santa Claus and The Grinch will return to Christmas In The Park on Saturday, December 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hot chocolate and cookies (provided by the Senior Center) will be served to the kids.
Singing will be provided by Lirio De Los Valles Church Kids Choir. The church will also be passing out tamales.
Other activities include voting for the Best Tree, the Food & Toy Drive, and an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest.
–December 18th
Best Tree awards will be given to First, Second and Third place winners. Pictures will be taken for the newspaper.
