The Angelic Hosts came for Chester Moody of Fairfield in the Methodist Charlton Medical Center of Dallas on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 among loving family and devoted friends.

Viewing was held Friday, August 25, 2017-Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 371 FM 1580, Fairfield, TX 75840 with Pastor Wendell Blair, True Vine Holiness Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas officiating. Interment followed in The New Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Moody was born April 16, 1946 in Palestine, Texas to Clinton Moody, Sr. and Ella Mae Moody Lee.  He was the third of four children and accepted Christ at an early age in the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Chester graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Teague, Texas with the Class of 1962. Chester and Ezra Turner were married and to this union two children were born; Chester Moody, Jr. and James Shelton Moody.

Mr. Moody was employed by the Sheraton Hotel of Dallas and later relocated to Los Angeles, Ca. where he held a position with Jersey Maid Milk Co.

Preceding Chester in death are His parents: Clinton Moody, Sr. and Ella Mae Moody Lee and a brother: William Moody.

Survivors include his Sons: Chester Moody, Jr., Dallas and James Shelton Moody and wife, Deborah, Duncanville; Grandchildren: Brittany Nichole Moody and James Shelton Moody, II, Duncanville; Brothers: Lonnie Moody and Clinton Moody and wife: Kathy, all of Dallas; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
