The University Interscholastic League has released its cutoff numbers and preliminary enrollment figures for 2018-2020 reclassification and realignment, making it possible to see which classification schools should end up in without having to wait until Feb. 1 when the final numbers are released. Freestone County Schools (Fairfield, Teague, Wortham) are part of Division II. Their conference is determined by each school’s enrollment numbers. Lions Fall in Quarterfinals 42-20

The Teague Lions battled from a 35-7 deficit but could not take the lead and their season ended on the turf at Waco ISD Stadium.  The Rockdale Tigers reach the state semifinals with a 42-20 win over the Lions. Teague committed 15 penalties for 125 yards and had two touchdowns called back.  They were able to get some momentum with a couple of quick scores in the third quarter, but it was not enough to complete a comeback and their trip through the playoffs ended in the fourth round.
