The Wortham Bulldogs have won four games in a row and continue to improve in the baseball standings this spring.

The edged out a 5-1 win in Dawson on Friday lead the Dawson Bulldogs by a game and a half with two games remaining.

Braxton Whaley pitched six strong innings and has a pair of singles and a walk with two rbi in the win.  Cole Shivers reached base three times and scored two runs  Ethan McCosllin added an rbi in the fifth inning to cushion the lead.

Mart and Riesel sit on top of the district standings.  The Indians have two district losses and both of them are to Wortham.

Wortham hosts Coolidge on Tuesday and travels to Mount Calm on Friday and then it faces district leading Mart at home on April 25th.
