–”We are from Frisco. Wow! This is a great show!”

The BritBeat concert hosted by the Moody-Bradley House Foundation was indeed a treat, especially for Beatles fans.
The venue at Twisted Vines Event Center in Fairfield was beautifully decorated.

Table settings included gold fish bowls featuring the iconic yellow submarine.

Attendees, two hundred and fourteen music fans, were also treated to selfie props in the form of John Lennon sunglasses.
Appetizers included British favorites of the era, including Bangers & Mash, Chicken Curry, and Fish & Chips.
The BritBeat band gave an exceptional performance.
They began with songs from the early years as the multi-media backdrop flashed vintage news clips and pictures from the Cavern Club in London, the Ed Sullivan Show in Hollywood, and the famous concert at Shea Stadium in New York City.
Following a short intermission, the scene change to psychedelic as BritBeat took the stage as Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
The evening concluded with favorites from the Beatles last studio album, Abbey Road.
“The Moody-Bradley House Foundation would like to thank the City of Fairfield for supporting this event,” said Melinda Bonds, Fairfield History Club member.
Bonds explained that the City’s Hotel Occupancy Tax was utilized to cover much of the expenses for this event. The tax – paid by people staying in Fairfield hotels – is designed to increase out-of-town traffic to the city and promote hotel stays.
“The Moody-Bradley House events do just that,” she said.
According to Bonds, approximately half of the BritBeat concert attendees were out of town guests who represented twenty-three cities outside of Fairfield.
Hotel Occupancy Tax Funds received are utilized for the Arts, historic preservation, and marketing events. “Without this support, the Moody-Bradley House Foundation would not be able to cover other costs necessary to maintain the Moody-Bradley House,” said Bonds.
The Fairfield History Club and Moody-Bradley House Foundation thanks all the individuals and businesses who supported the event, including Farmers State Bank, Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and Richland Chambers Progress.

Additionally, a $300 shopping spree was awarded to Don Windham, a lucky fan in attendance.

The following Fairfield businesses are participating: Robinson Trading Post, Texas Outfitters, Accessories, Etc., Brenda’s Closet, Kennedy’s Korner, Highway 84 Outfitters, Tuscan Touch, Freeman’s Flowers, Creations Flowers & Gifts, Armadillo Emporium, NAPA Auto Parts, Lyle Oil, Parker Auto Supply, Big Daddy’s Detail, Peridot – Marilyn Farris, Fertodda Nail & Hair Studio, Bella Nails, Good Neighbor Dry Cleaners, Sam’s Original Restaurant, Ponte’s Diner and Padrinos.
