On Saturday morning, August 25, 2017 at around 8:00 a.m., Freestone County 911 Dispatch received a call regarding a domestic disturbance in the Cotton Gin area.

The reporting party advised that Ronald Watson kicked in the door and took a vehicle, ramming it into a tree at the residence.

They also advised that Watson took off running barefooted in the vicinity of County Road 930 and FM 1366 heading west.

Additional reports state that Watson was “not in his right mind” and was “dangerous” due to possible narcotic drug use.

Watson had two active felony warrants out of Limestone County at the time of this situation.

Freestone County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from DPS and Game Wardens, responded to the scene and following a short search, apprehended Watson without further incident.

Possible charges are pending.
