A light-hearted competition during last week’s Business After Hours event was decided in a “sudden death” match, pitting two newspaper people together, furiously drawing pictorial hints for the word, Cash Mob.
Editor Karen Leidy of Freestone County Times led the blue team to victory, earning members a Sonic coupon for a free drink.
Business After Hours is a monthly networking event sponsored by Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. It is held the first Thursday of each month from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
The August get-together was hosted by Brenda’s Closet with delicious Tex-Mex food provided by Los Ranchos Bar & Grill.
Gina Martin of Origami Owl gave an information talk on using social media for your business.
Door prizes were provided by Bayless NAPA Auto Parts, 106.9 FM The Ranch, Texas Parks & Wildlife – Fairfield Lake State Park, Texas 99.1 KNES FM, and Creations Flowers & Gifts.
