Two years ago, six members of two families were killed at a deer camp in Tennessee Colony.

Last week, their murderer, William Hudson, 35, was found guilty and sentenced to death by lethal injection.

According to news reports, a Brazos County jury returned their verdict after less than thirty minutes of deliberation.

Presiding was 3rd District Judge Mark Calhoon.

Hudson was charged in the deaths of Carl Johnson, 76; his daughter, Hannah Johnson, 40; his grandson, Kade, 6; Thomas Kamp, 45; and his two sons, Nathan, 23, and Austin, 21.

Carl’s wife, Cynthia, was the only survivor.

Reportedly, the two families were camping on property that one of the victims had purchased from a relative of the convicted murderer.

The Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, has this to say, concerning the verdict, “We are grateful on behalf of the victims’ families that justice has been served, and we are thankful that this vicious killer has been removed from society.”
